. Boat rides up the river or the sea, walking among centenary trees, breathtaking views, warm villages and beaches, long stretches of beaches for all tastes, with calm and violent sea, a refreshing fresh water bath in one of the brooks and in all this the mark of the history of Brazil, are some of the attractions of this region.
It may be surprising, but the beauty of the landscape of Porto Seguro and Santa Cruz Cabrália remains the same as described in 1500 by Pero Vaz de Caminha in the "Letter of Discovery". The visitor will see the same view that impressed the Portuguese who got there 500 years ago and walk along the same beaches where they first met the tupiniquins, the first owners of the land.
Between Porto Seguro and Cabrália there are 20 km of beaches of easy access on the road BR-367. On both towns, schooner rides are available daily, taking the tourists for a dive at Recife de Fora or the beaches of Arraial D'Ajuda and Trancoso, to the south, that can be reached by car, crossing the Buranhém river by ferryboat. Charming beaches, a deep blue sea, high cliffs, rivers and reefs can now be discovered by those who love adventure.
After a day relaxing on the beach, wander through the streets lined with bars and restaurants, ad hoc parties, dancing and live music. Every night there are big beach parties with shows offering the best Brazilian bands such as Olodum, Daniela Mercury, Bragada and Ara Ketu. Porto Seguro is "the" Spring Break Town, 24/7/12. Better than Palm Springs, longer than Daytona Beach, and a musical diversification only possible in Bahia. There is always a lot of excitement; fun and live music at night at the Passarela do Alcool (alcohol catwalk). Here one finds a diversity of colorful exotic coctailstands, handicraft, souvenir shops, bars and terraces, which provide a relaxed atmosphere.
